WHAT YOU"LL DO:
You will bring Soccer Island alive with your energy and enthusiasm! Our part-time coaches will lead and assist anywhere from 5-15 sessions per week at preschools and parks in Dekalb County. Growth opportunities are available as we always take priority in promoting from within! Reliable transportation is required for this position and a background check will be conducted in order to work with students.

JOB DESCRIPTION


You will act as the face of Atlanta Sport & Social Club and be a key ‘on the ground’ resource for leagues and programs. Overall, your goals will be to:

  • Ensure that existing players receive an exceptional experience
  • Ensure that leagues run smoothly
  • Facilitate operational tasks assigned by our head office team

Specifically, areas that you will be responsible for include:

  • The majority of your time will be spent in the evenings and some weekends executing leagues
  • Retention of current players with exceptional customer service
  • Sales of leagues/programs to individuals and captains, finding ways to fill empty space
  • Developing improvements for current league play.
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with current venues, and seeking new venues to enable growth
  • Assisting with the activation of regional promotions
  • Assisting and training league ambassadors carry out nightly duties
  • Helping with discipline issues that may arise during game play
  • Contributing to building our online community through interactions and contributions to our social media platforms
  • Attending league games onsite to ensure everything is running smoothly
  • Meeting with hired or prospective part-time staff
  • Exploring new venues and facilities and collecting details about current venues
  • Collecting and creating fun content for ASSC’s social media platforms (videos, action shots, player interactions etc.)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a valid full C driver’s license
  • Must have access to your own vehicle, the expectation will be that we will require you to use your own vehicle to transport supplies and equipment

WORKING LOCATION

  • Training will take place at the Atlanta Sport & Social head office or on-site at our venues.
  • Additional training may take place remotely through online portals
  • Once trained, the majority of your time will likely be spent on the go in the afternoons and evenings (most prominently Sunday- Thursday)

EXPECTED HOURS

  • Approximately 12-20 hours per week in the field
  • This includes weeknight work and weekends as most of our programs take place then.

COMPENSATION

  • All our League Convenors earn $18 USD per hour to start.
  • League Convenors have the opportunity to participate in all of our tournaments at no charge (please note: that to be eligible to play in a tournament for free you must have a regular shift in the current season).
  • We have created a very clear hourly increase plan that showcases how you can achieve future hourly rate increases based on the number of shifts you have worked. The increases will be reflected starting the pay period after you hit the specific shift milestone.
  • Base Rate = $18 USD
  • After 50 Shifts = $19 USD
  • After 100 Shifts = $20 USD
  • After 200 Shifts = $21 USD
  • After 300 Shifts = $22 USD

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our League Ambassadors are an essential ingredient to the success of our leagues. They are the eyes and ears at our venues and ensure all league games run smoothly. We are currently looking for responsible, reliable, and outgoing individuals to act as League Ambassadors for JAM Sports.

JAM Sports Ambassadors are responsible for:

  • Engaging with players each and every shift to ensure they are having the best possible experience before, during, and after games
  • Establishing a relationship with vendors, facilities, and the community to support our growing brand
  • Arriving at the venue location prior to game times to meet with the facility caretaker and/or venue staff
  • Setting up equipment for the sport that will be played that evening
  • Managing the venue throughout the course of the night to ensure that our players enter & exit the building at the appropriate times and through the appropriate doors
  • Ensuring that all games start and end at the correct times
  • Enforcing league rules and sportsmanship to create safe play during games
  • Assisting with any incidents and injuries as appropriate
  • Cleaning up the facility and packing up all equipment at the end of the night
  • Submitting a shift report through our online system after each shift
  • Collecting and creating fun content for JAM's social media platforms (videos, action shots, player interactions etc.)

EXPECTED HOURS

  • Our leagues run Tuesday to Friday from roughly 5:45 pm until 12:00 am with some Saturday and Sunday shifts available as well (shifts will vary based on game times at a given venue).
  • We are looking for people who can work on multiple nights throughout the week after 5:00pm.
  • Shift times are typically between 3 to 6 hours long depending on the venue.
  • Hours will vary depending on your availability, but preferences will be given to those who are committed to working consistent shifts on multiple evenings.
  • Responsibilities/times/locations all vary depending on your availability.

COMPENSATION

  • All of our League Ambassadors earn $16.55 CAD per hour to start. We have created a very clear hourly increase plan that showcases how you can achieve future hourly rate increases based on the number of shifts you have worked. Additionally, they will be responsible for managing a range of key performance indicators (KPIs) across different areas of the facility. A successful candidate in the General Manager role is passionate about sports, can take ownership of their centers by providing a welcoming and engaging environment for players, parents, and staff, enjoys working alongside a team, embodies our core values, is able to work with teams locally and remotely, and thrives in a fast-paced people-filled setting. Role Scope & Responsibilities: Center Operations (25% of Role Scope):

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the TOCA Soccer Training Facility, ensuring a clean, clutter-free, and visually appealing environment for all visitors.
  • Lead a team of staff members, including coaches, front-desk personnel, and experience functions, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused atmosphere.
  • Manage scheduling and staffing to ensure optimal coverage for training sessions and customer service needs.
  • Develop and implement facility maintenance protocols to ensure a well-maintained and safe training environment for players and staff.
  • Uphold a guest-centric approach, consistently exceeding guest expectations by ensuring high levels of service quality and experience. Address guest concerns promptly and effectively to maintain a positive center experience.
  • Set and monitor KPIs related to facility maintenance, customer satisfaction (NPS and reviews), referral generation, and overall operational excellence.
  • Create a top-line revenue and performance strategy across all product lines, ensuring growth and profitability through local community driven events, integrated teams and online presence.
  • Oversee team training sessions, league games, and class camp/clinic experiences, monitoring their effectiveness in enhancing player development. Analyze NPS scores to gauge customer satisfaction and drive improvements in service quality.

Leadership & Team Development (50% of Role Scope):

  • Partner with the Regional Director of Operations to assist with sourcing and hiring new management candidates, develop a pipeline of potential talent for long-term growth, and raise engagement from skilled team members.
  • Coach a team of motivated employees, conduct regular performance reviews, and work with the People and Culture (HR) Department to address personnel concerns or issues.
  • Implement strategies to boost employee engagement and reduce turnover, creating a positive work environment.

Community Marketing & Sales Enablement (25% of Role Scope):

  • Collaborate with the corporate sales and marketing team on ideating and implementing new brand initiatives, client acquisition, and retention strategies for the center, with positive impact for guests and teammates.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with different personality types as well as other departments, vendors, and clients.
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling abilities to ensure the facility runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Availability for full-time work during non-traditional hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
